Soledad Krause has ample experience in civil, criminal, competition, and sanctioning administrative litigation/procedure. She permanently presents oral arguments before higher courts such as the Court of Appeals of Santiago and the Supreme Court. She was an associate at Claro y Cía. for over ten years, and then became partner at the same firm. Subsequently, she worked as the Head of Litigation for the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office.
She is a graduated at the Universidad de Chile School of Law, and Ph.D. in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She is also a Master of Philosophy at Universidad de Chile and a Master of Legal Argumentation at Universidad de Alicante. She has achieved a wide array of certifications and diplomas in public economic law, competition law, criminal procedure, and civil liability, among others.
She is a professor of Criminal and Sanctioning Administrative Law at Universidad Católica de Chile and has lectured in postgraduate programs for public bodies and for the Judicial Academy. She is also the author of “Liability: the Unitary in Civil and Criminal Systems” (Thomson Reuters Publishing, Santiago 2015) and of various other publications on subjects related to criminal law, philosophy, and philosophy of law.
