Cristián Gandarillas has ample experience in litigation and dispute resolution in civil and commercial matters, as well as bankruptcy and corporate restructuring procedures. He permanently presents oral arguments before higher courts such as the Court of Appeals of Santiago and the Supreme Court. He was an associate at Claro y Cía. for over nine years and worked as Head Legal Advisor for the Chilean Ministry of Internal Affairs (Chief of Cabinet) between 2010 and 2011. As a partner, he was at the head of the Dispute Resolution department at Aninat Schwencke.
He is a graduated at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Columbia University School of Law.
Mr. Gandarillas is a Professor of Civil Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and also teaches in the “Damages and New Trends in Liability” program at the aforementioned university. He has been a lecturer of Torts at the Judicial Academy. He is also the author of various articles on matters related to civil law.
